WELCOME TO YOUR ULTIMATE CRAFT RETREAT VENUE
Our story is about creativity and connection - paper craft, stamping, knitting and crochet, sewing and quilting, other craft and artistry.
Its about getting creative, and enjoying good food and wine with friends - old and new.
It is about memory making, the smell of great food from the BBQ in Summer.
It’s about keeping it real, slowing down, and breathing in cold crisp mountain air in Winter.
It’s about trying new things, taking in the views, fog on the river in the morning in Autumn.
It’s about birds, and beautiful walks during Spring.
It’s about you, enjoying the company you keep.
THE LOCATION
Rivercraft is located in beautiful Ebenezer, on the Hawkesbury River (Dyarubbin) in New South Wales, Australia, 70 km north -west of Sydney CBD.
Ebenezer sits on the banks of the Hawkesbury River and is one of both Indigenous significance, with Darug people being on Dyarubbin for thousands of years as well as being the oldest area outside of Sydney for the first free settlers in Australia, and is home to Australia’s oldest Church (1809) and school (1810).
The location and the shear beauty of the river and sandstone cliffs, the wildlife and the setting all combine for an amazing creative location for your craft retreat.
The area is picture perfect with the river, vinyards, horses and farms dotting the landscape.
The area provides a huge range of activities including horseriding, swimming, waterskiing and wakeboarding, bushwalking, bike riding and fruit picking at one of the orchards nearby. It boasts amazing food and wine options. Windsor is within 10km, Wilberforce within 5km. You can also access the south side of the river via car ferry service at nearby Sackville.
TESTIMONIALS
“As a group of 7, we all had an absolutely amazing weekend at Rivercraft. The property is very well presented, and the craft area will suit all kinds of groups. Walking distance to the vineyard made for a lovely lunch. Such a peaceful place to relax, unwind and be creative.”

“Well wow! What a great spot for our group (Crafty Crusaders) to be together once more! Comfy beds, plenty of Scrapping space, functional tables, good stable chairs and great lighting, just what we need. Everything we could need in the house, and lovely feel. View is outstanding although we all agree we just didnt have time to enjoy it to its full potential! We will just have to come back for longer!!”
Michelle - Crafty Crusaders
“What a beautiful weekend we’ve had crafting by the river!
A smaller group this time, but sometimes that’s what makes it extra special. We’ve shared plenty of laughs, lots of creativity, good conversations and, of course, plenty of crafty inspiration.”
